Debut Show at Fahrenheit Kollectiv

Downtown Greensboro has a monthly event called "First Friday," this is when places downtown open their doors to the public and to local artists.  I was invited to hang my first show at one of the participating salons, Fahrenheit Kollectiv.  I was anxious and very excited about the opportunity though admittedly I had no idea what I was doing, I was thankful my friend Amy was there to help me hang my show and give input on which pieces to hang.  I thought I had a pretty good turn out for my first show and some pieces were sold that night which was exciting.  It is so strange to know that random people have my art hanging in their house or office.  had a coloring table set up for visitors to color some of my line art that I had created.  I was surprised at how well that went over.

Here are some photos for the coloring table, my brothers came out to show their support and brought friends.  I think over all the show was very successful, the owners of the salon have asked me to return for another reception on the 30th and want me to stay up through the month of May.  I think that means good things for me.  I am so excited to be able to share my artwork with others, and even more excited that others like my art enough to take it home.
